Impressions from a pleasant trip to a beautiful Italian Clinic
I recently had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Massimo Cianci at a surgical training course organised at Stomatologico Lariano® in Sondrio - Italy.
Prima facie, it appeares that Stomatologico Lariano® is a fully equipped clinic with modern state-of-the-art and provides dental care in a relaxed, safe and comfortable environment.
There is a full equipped dental laboratory praxis inside the clinic, which saves excessive time for both the dentist and the patient during the rehabilitation process. In addition, when I first met the clinical staff of Dr. Cianci, I could immediately see the professionalism and the passion in their eyes for helping the patients. I think all dental practicioners involved in oral implantology around Europe would be interested to see this clinic and the operational model.
We have started the meeting with an illustrative speech of Dr Cianci about his previous case presentations, which was followed by a live surgery session. The surgical course and the live surgery session at the clinic have mainly focused on the immediate loading concept of the new K1 line of Biomec/Oxy implants®.
In recent years, dental implant applications became an integral part of the daily dental practice. However, most of the dentists do not have enough knowledge about the production stage of the implants they were using.
